From the cover of the February issue of Cosmopolitan: “My hair’s long.
My hair’s thick.
My teeth are chattering.
My nails are like glitter.”
But while you’re enjoying the benefits of the holidays, you might be thinking, “My nails are fine, but my hair’s still short and stubbly!”
Well, thanks to a new survey, it appears that “glam” is just as popular as “grizzly” for women.
According to the survey, published in the April issue of Vogue, a whopping 51 percent of respondents said they “would definitely” wear a wig during the holidays.
And of course, that’s just a snapshot of the survey sample, but the results have led to some interesting conclusions.
For example, 57 percent of women who said they would definitely wear a goth wig said that they would also wear a dress wig for a Halloween party.
And 57 percent said they’d “probably” do the same during a wedding.
“That’s like saying that my nails are okay, but I’ll go out in a wedding dress because that’s what I’ve always done,” said one survey respondent.
This trend is sure to continue in 2017.
Cosmo will continue to track the trends and findings from the magazine’s survey and will provide further analysis as we near the end of the year.
